The derelict remnants of an ill-conceived development scheme dating to the 1970s-80s, on the western shore of Lake Turkana, northern Kenya. Photographs exhibited as a display entitled ‘the Ruins of Turkana’ as part of the Remains, Waste and Metonymy: a Critical Intervention into Art and Scholarship day at the British Institute in Eastern Africa (24/10/2015), and subsequently in the month-long follow-up exhibition (of the same name) at the Nairobi National Museum (18/01/2016 – 19/02/2016).
